We are not a denomination, mission board or a religion. We are simply a fellowship of assemblies wanting to minister in manners revealed in God's Word, and to remain faithful to the new testament assembly way.
It all started with a fellowship in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines about twenty years ago. A group of young believers heard the Lord's call to gather as a church and serve Him as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Commended workers were eventually sent out as missionaries and new assemblies were established by the Lord. The work went out as far as Bicol, Zamboanga, Palawan, the neigboring towns of Cavite.
Much of the news posted in this newsletter are about The Lord's work in Bicol, Philippines. It's a fairly large province south of Manila. This is where the Lord brought us lately.

It is quite awkward to give ourselves titles like "workers" or "missionaries" as that seem to elevate us above the rest. Every Christian is a missionary and unfortunately, the word does not even exist in the Scriptures. Nevertheless we get regular questions as to who emmaustrail.com is. The fact is, emmaustrail.com is not a person or a group of people. It's a newsletter dedicated to keep friends and families around the world aware of what's happening in Bicol. There are assemblies and individuals who are willing to share in the work here and this website is a tool for the Lord to share the joy of serving to those who can not do what some of us can. As such, we experience the "body of Christ" in serving the Lord together.
Our prayer is that we remain faithful to the Lord and do His will. Although we belong to a fellowship of assemblies, our allegiance is to the Holy Spirit and endeavor to work only if we are convinced that the Lord wishes us to do so. That is why we do not have "Mission" and "Vision" statements. If we are to be asked what is our goal, the response will be, "to obey God". We have invested so many years to following a certain set of well meaning goals and mission objectives, we feel it will be better if we let the Lord disclose His will to us this time. We don't have quotas, target memberships, long and short term goals. We simply want to obey God and teach His Word.
Simple.
